My passion for photography began at the University of Delaware. I devoured many photography books and eagerly began an apprenticeship with a professional photographer. On graduating I worked long hours for studios throughout the metropolitan area.
In 2001, I set up my own studio concentrating on weddings and other special events. Now Michael Dempsey Photography boasts a highly professional team of photographers and cinematographers. Together we have memorialized over 800 special occasions. Our dual objective: to capture the grandeur of the day while incorporating those very human moments - the smile of a child, the tear of a grandparent.

Life Beyond the Camera
Off-duty, often with a camera still around my neck, my wife, two-year old daughter and a couple of Boston Terriers spend time outdoors firing up the grill and enjoying time at the shore. Usually, without a camera, we can also binge a Netflix series with the best of them.
